Back to Roots is one man’s mission and passion – Dr. Shyam’s. A trained Ayurvedic physician hailing from Kerala, he has taken the time-tested, holistic system of healing beyond India’s border. The first Ayurvedic practitioner to be licensed by the UAE’s Ministry of Health in 2002, he has brought relief and cure to thousands of patients over his three-decade-long practice. A recipient of many accolades, including Sheikh Zayed International Award for Traditional Complementary and Alternative Medicine 2022, Distinguished Leaders of Healthcare Award 2018 & Distinguished Physician Award 2017 by the Dubai Health Authority and Health Magazine, Dr. Shyam is a staunch advocate of Suddha Chikitsa – wherein a treatment does not lead to other adverse side effects or health issues – a common grievance with modern medicine.
