Steam Pro was founded in 2004 by an ambitious 19 year old Robert Torres. He quit his day job as a salesman, bought all the equipment needed to get started, borrowed his mothers car and was in business. He also attended every textile restoration seminar he could, sometimes attending the same seminars multiple times.

Within 5 years Steam Pro was arguably the most successful single truck carpet cleaning company in New York. Accolades included being the best reviewed carpet cleaner in New York (Yelp), a celebrity clientele and write ups in multiple publications.

Today Steam Pro continues to obsess over delivering exceptional customer service. We’ve intentionally kept the company small and customer focused. Over 90% of Steam Pro’s business comes from its existing clientele.
