Hailing from Sydney, James Locksmith is a DJ, producer and curator based in Dubai. Dance music and cultures from around the world has led James on a colourful path, living between Australia, Dubai and Greece, producing, programming world class events, influential projects and DJing from bars to festival stages for nearly 20 years. During his global career, James has shared the DJ booth and stage with likes of Giles Peterson, Pat Mahoney (LCD Soundsystem), Nicolas Jaar, Hot Chip, Darshan Jesrani (Metro Area), Nightmares On Wax, DJ Tennis, Debruit, Kenny Dope, Dam-Funk, Femi Kuti, Jose Marquez, Nicola Cruz, Daddy G (Massive Attack), Alsarah & The Nubatones, Mr Scruff, Princess Nokia, Earl Sweatshirt, Knxledge, Andras, Jessy Lanza, Omar Souleyman, Acid Arab, Alma Negra, Habibi Funk, Danny Krivit and many more. Since James moved to Dubai late in 2011, he immediately became an integral part of a new groundbreaking alternative club scene, co-founding DUST parties and soon after partnering and collaborating with others such as Vibe Series, Electric Days, One Big Vibes, SATWA 3000, Analog Room, MUTEK, SOLE DXB, Art Dubai and Groove On The Grass. Beyond being the co-producer of Red Bull Music Academy and RBMA Bass Camp UAE events from 2012. Nevertheless, since 2005 James has been collaborating with friend and partner, New York based DJ producer Nickodemus, his label Wonderwheel Recordings and international moving party Turntables On The Hudson, exporting it in MENA, Australia and Greece.
