"With the vision to be a globally renowned university, KL Deemed to be University started the journey of educational excellence as KL College of Engineering in the Academic year 1980-81. The mission to impart quality higher education and the focus on the overall development of the student helped us to add a feather in our cap by upgrading to KL College of Engineering Autonomous in 2006 by UGC, deemed to be university in 2009 and was accredited by NAAC with A grade in 2012 and re-accredited with A++ in 2018 and finally as Category 1 institution in 2019 by UGC, MHRD.   In our 42 years of educational excellence and leadership, the objective of imparting holistic and value-based education was realized by spreading the wings further through the Office of International Relations and left an indelible mark in global education. The excellence attained helped us to climb the ladder of success by venturing into the new areas like Skill Development.

Following the same path, we are determined to take a step in making higher education accessible to all the individuals through the platform of online learning program - CENTRE FOR DISTANCE AND ONLINE EDUCATION for those who want to pursue higher, dual degrees without any hindrance to their current state of being. Distance, employment, Marriage etc. can never act as a barrier to achieving higher degrees.
