Iron soleplate is the metal plate at the bottom of the iron, also known as iron base or iron base plate. It is one of the core components of the iron and is used to transfer the heat heated by the iron to the surface of the clothes to make them flat.
Iron soleplate is divided into dry iron, steam, explosion or combined function soleplate according to the function.
The soleplate of the iron usually consists of a heating tube and a heat storage metal. Heat storage metal is usually made of aluminium alloy, the surface of stainless steel, enamel or carbide or coated with wear-resistant coatings, such as ceramic, silicone, PTFE, etc., in order to protect the surface of the soleplate from corrosion and the smoothness of ironing.
The quality of the soleplate has a great impact on the performance and service life of the iron. A good iron soleplate should have good thermal conductivity, temperature performance, flatness, smoothness, abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance in order to make it easier to iron all kinds of clothes smoothly.
