Founded in 1992, The Farber Consulting Group, Inc. has more than 30 years of experience developing business applications and working with the databases behind them. Our project experience includes custom financial systems for Johnson & Johnson, Falcon aircraft inspection scheduling software for Dassault Aviation, and MySQL performance tuning and desktop application modernization for Avis Car Rental.
For iA American Warranty Group, we tuned more than 800 stored procedures and functions, improving performance across nested functions by 45–80%. We also built a web scraping application for VTP Ltd. in the UK that collects supplier and competitor pricing, cross-references part numbers, and supports inventory decisions.
That combination of software and database experience is useful when moving older Alpha Five desktop applications to the web. We start by understanding how employees use the existing system. Screens, reports, database relationships, and business rules all become part of the modernization discussion.
Our Alpha Five development services support older applications as well as web development. Alpha Anywhere can provide a development path for database-driven web applications, while .NET may be appropriate when project requirements call for it.
Our VTP project also demonstrates how web applications can connect external information with internal business processes. We can apply the same practical approach to integrations, reporting, and AI-assisted access to business information where those capabilities support the client's requirements.
