Business Description

Arader Books is the rare book department of Arader Galleries at 1016 Madison Avenue in New York. Our primary focus is plate-books in four categories: atlases, voyages, natural history (notably John James Audubon’s Birds of America) and Americana. We specialize in the intersection of iconography and works on paper from the incunable period through 1900 or so. Jonah Rosenberg has been the head of rare books at Arader since 2021. Dr. Rosenberg holds an A.B. from Brown (Classics: Greek and Latin) and a D.Phil from Oxford (St. John’s College), and has taught art-history since 2010.
