Wood window repair in Matthews, NC catches many owners across Union County off guard, since the windows on their houses look like aluminum or vinyl from the yard. Underneath that shell, most units built around here have a wooden frame and sash. The shell keeps weather off the face, but a corner joint that opens even slightly lets rain run in behind it, and the wood there stays wet long after the storm has passed. Argo looks for that damage with a probe at the sill and the bottom corners, because paint and cladding hide it well. Any length found soft is removed, a new piece is milled to the same section, and the shell is closed over it again. Where the probe finds sound wood, the report says so, and the quote covers only the glass or the mechanism that truly failed. A whole new window is suggested only if decay has run through the entire frame.
