Professor Moses Galukande is a renowned general surgeon, academic, and medical researcher, widely recognized for his expertise in breast cancer research and surgical practice. With over two decades of experience, he has made significant contributions to advancing healthcare in Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) and a Master of Medicine in Surgery (M. Med) from Makerere University, Uganda, as well as a PhD focusing on breast cancer oncogenesis and prognostic biomarkers. Professor Galukande has served as the Chair of the Department of Surgery at Makerere University and is a Fellow of both the College of Surgeons of East, Central, and Southern Africa (FCS ECSA) and the American College of Surgeons (FACS). His research has been pivotal in addressing the high prevalence of triple-negative breast cancer among African women, with publications in leading international journals. As a guest collaborator with DMK Medicare Ltd, Professor Galukande has contributed to the organization's mission of improving health outcomes.
