She hails from the well known Prakasam family of Homeopathic Doctors in Calicut India and leads the 4th generation of doctors from a family engaged in Education, Treatment, Research, Propagation, and Manufacture of Homeopathic medicines for the last 96 years. In 1920, her great grandfather, Dr. R. Kesavapanikkar (well known as RKP) started his Homeopathic clinic in Thirukkunnapuzha in Alleppey district, Kerala. Dr. R Kesavapanikkars eldest son Dr. K. S. Prasakam was the founder Principal of the Government Homeopathic Medical College Calicut and also the Faculty Dean of Calicut University.
