Business Description
The WHO Antimicrobial Resistance in Nigeria initiative focuses on addressing the growing threat of drug-resistant infections through a coordinated One Health approach. Supported by the World Health Organization, Nigeria is strengthening its surveillance systems, laboratory capacity, and antimicrobial stewardship programs to combat antimicrobial resistance (AMR). With the launch of the National Action Plan (NAP) and multi-sectoral collaboration, this effort aims to protect public health, ensure responsible use of antibiotics, and build sustainable AMR containment strategies across human, animal, and environmental health sectors.
