Business Description
• Coordination of patient care delivery and patient flow
• Ability to mentor, coach and act as resource for staff
• Performance appraisals, including ongoing regular feedback for staff
• Accountable for Medicine and ICU budgets
• Recruitment and retention strategies with staff
• Provide leadership for and ensure alignment with MHA strategic priorities
• Implement and manage quality improvement, lean strategies and patient safety initiatives to ensure excellence in patient care and high levels of patient satisfaction
• Participate in the management of all patient care areas in conjunction with peers
• Ensure that clinical practices are evidence based best practice and consistent with current standards and regulations
• Model and promote the development of a motivated and a cohesive multi-disciplinary team
• Support educational strategies to enhance professional practice of team members
