Parameters are the way to store and reuse the data that has been with the resources.The flexibility provided by the parameter changes the value of your queries and gets the desired output. The manage Parameter window helps you in managing the parameters which you can access from Home Tab.
The parameter has the properties to store the value and use it as a Power Query.
Several other properties of the parameter are:
Name: You can give the name to the parameter which will differentiate it from the other parameters and thereby you can access the parameter by the name
Description: It is providing the information of the parameter which helps the user to specifically understand the purpose of the parameter.
Checkbox: Help you to specify if you are requiring the parameter or not.
Type: It simply tells you about the data type of the parameter.
Suggestion: It give you the option to select from the suggestion the value of the parameter.
